You didn't lose your lead guitarist he left for bigger and better things.

Indeed he did, but we did ask for the sake of his own personal life, and our care for that life of his, for him to step down and get things together for himself, and we’re very happy for him with what he’s doing! I (Frankie) actually talked to him recently and he said that he was doing really well and hopes we are too, which we are! We’re all very happy with what he’s doing for himself and love him to death no matter what. We don’t believe in band fights, we believe in friendship, and this move was solely out of the love and care we have for Steven, and the fact that we believe his own life comes before a band of goonies who may or may not have been in the way of that change we felt was best for him.

This is my band, Ascension. Monday night we played a battle of the bands for Mayhem Fest, which was our first show in the downstairs of the Middle East, one of the biggest venues for live music in the Boston area. This set had to have been one of the best sets we have ever had in my opinion, and the crowd showed us that energy as well. Although we did not win over the judges (In which the winner was not agreed upon by almost everyone in the crowd), in my heart we won. I am beyond proud of this group of friends I have to play music with, and more than grateful to be able to call them my best friends and band mates. We proved to ourselves that we are all strong and ready to push ourselves even further no matter who or what tries to bring us down and tell us otherwise. We have so much left in the tank, and so much to prepare for all of you to hear. In conclusion, I love my band.

Here’s a little update video for all of you out there wondering how the writing process is coming along… We’d say rather quickly…
